Make Your Writing More Confident By A SIMPLE CHANGE

Nowadays, too many students are trying to be overly clever or use a tone which is likely to be deemed informal by examiners.

Stop Using Vague Words like “I Think” in Essays

Using the word leads to your prose look weak, excessively opinionated and perhaps unsuitable for academic environment.

❌ Avoid:

  • I think education is good.

  • I think this issue is bad.

✅ Use instead:

  • It is evident that education is important.

  • This issue should be addressed.

  • It can be argued that education plays a vital role.

  • There is no doubt that this issue is significant.

RULE OF THUMB

If  you remove "I think" from your sentence and it still make sense, then 9 out of 10 times it is better to remove it.

Hope this helped :)
